"Gay, Muslim, Hispanic: meet Donald Trump's most unlikely supporters"
This article, posted by The telegraph, is about the upcoming U.S election and regards the controversy surrounding the idea that Donald trump is racist.
The article quotes Donald Trump arguing the accusation by saying "I have a great relationship with the blacks". Although Trump most likely thought that he was going to 'open peoples eyes' and perhaps change their mind of what they think he is like, it could be argued that he just made it even worse for himself. By saying "the blacks" he is categorising African Amercian's and other black ethnicities into one which could be offensive. Furthermore, he is speaking on behalf of a whole race.
Donald Trump also said "The Hispanics are going to get those jobs - and they're going to love Trump!" This, again, is Trump speaking on behalf of a ethnicity and also could be viewed as patronising. He is opposing a lot of things he has said in past speeches etc. which will not convince people to like him.
Lastly, the politician also said "I'm doing good for the Muslim's". This could again be viewed as patronising as he is insinuating that Muslim's are not treated fairly currently.
The title of the article may be misleading as it implies that the stated groups (homosexuals, Muslim's, Hispanic's) are supporting Trump, however the article shows that that is just what Donald assumes. This is further backed up when the article goes on to say "According to polls, however, these groups of voters are marked less enthusiastic about a Trump presidency."
Overall, this article is misleading and further adds to the ideology that Trump is racist and diversifies American citizens due to their sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and religion.
